I was looking around a few months ago for a good list of categories of personal information but couldn’t come up with anything I found that was comprehensive enough. Everyone seems siloed in their little world (financial information, health information, etc..). I often run into people and explain to them that personal information is so much more expansive than they at first imagine. So much data can affect people’s lives. I wanted something to visualize that so I came up with this infographic. This is an amalgamation from a lot of different sources and though I’ve racked my brain, I can’t claim it’s complete. I’m sure I’ve missed something. Hopefully, this will help privacy professionals when they run into their colleagues who are hyper focused on one particular privacy risk.
