After the success of our Categories of Personal Information infographic, Enterprivacy Consulting Group is publishing this Taxonomy of Privacy issues infographic. The taxonomy is taken from Dan Solove’s seminal paper in which he breaks down 16 privacy issues into four area: information collection, information processing, information dissemination and invasion. The taxonomy forms the risk framework for Enterprivacy’s Strategic Privacy by Design. While companies can adopt other risk frameworks, based on Nissenbaum’s contextual integrity, Calo’s harms or regulatory compliance, the taxonomy provides the most comprehensive and systematic approach.
